WAY BACK before "overlanding" in the mid 1980s, this is what we used as a camping trailer. Utility box from small truck made into trailer with matching rims and tires.

Here is finished camping trailer behind our Cherokee in Baja. Inflatable boat atop it, and you could slide the lid back without having to remove the boat.
